Nos encontramos a las puertas de la celebración del Primer Campeonato del Mundo de Selecciones Nacionales Femeninas de Futsal, Campeonato que ha sido otorgado a la Federación Catalana de Futbol Sala por parte de la Asociación Mundial de Futsal, entidad a la que la Federación Catalana pertenece desde hace mas de un año. Ante este Acontecimiento quiero resaltar dos aspectos fundamentales como son las ayudas e implicación tanto del Ayuntamiento de Reus como del Gobierno de la Generalitat de Cataluña, a través de la “Secretaria General de l’Esport”, siendo estos los principales artífices de que este acontecimiento deportivo de primer orden se pueda desarrollar en nuestro País. El otro Aspecto que quiero destacar es que se trata de una competición de Genero Femenino campo este donde la Federación que tengo el orgullo de presidir siempre se ha destacado, no puedo olvidar que la primera Competición de carácter internacional donde participó la FCFS, Fue en el Campeonato de Europa de Selecciones Femeninas de Futsal ya en el año 2004, donde nuestra Selección alcanzo brillantemente la Medalla de Plata o Subcampeonato perdiendo únicamente contra la Selección anfitriona en la Final por un ajustado 2-0.
También es muy importante destacar que este primer Campeonato Mundial de Futsal Femenino, está organizado por una Federación defensora de la independencia de este Deporte y Propiciado por la Asociación Mundial, entidad contraria a la actividad desarrollada por FIFA que está pretendiendo apropiarse de la identidad del Futsal Mundial de forma fraudulenta, usurpando un espacio que no le pertenece, pero es a la hora de demostrar con hechos quien representa realmente al Futsal Mundial es cuando FIFA enseña sus vergüenzas y demuestra que el Futsal solo le interesa para aumentar su volumen de negocio, cuando se trata del fomento y promoción del deporte de forma altruista i amateur, que no los busquen. Una buena prueba de ello es ver quien ha tenido que ser capaz de atreverse a organizar este primer Campeonato del Mundo Femenino, por encima de los intereses económicos que son los únicos que motivan a FIFA y UEFA, y mira por donde la AMF (Asociación Mundial de Futsal)ha tenido que ser la Pionera en Impulsar una Campeonato de estas características, bien es cierto que con la complicidad de el Gobierno de Cataluña, que ha entendido perfectamente la Realidad del Futsal Catalán y Mundial, y del Ayuntamiento de Reus siempre predispuesto a participar en acontecimientos de primer orden. Así pues animo a todos a asistir a tan importante acontecimiento, no sin antes agradecer el esfuerzo de todos cuantos han hecho posible la realidad de este Campeonato Mundial.
